MEDIA NUMERICS® presents RockNet Fiber Optical Media Converter

Media Numerics leads the way with new technology in the RN.351.FI and RN.352.FO Fiber Optical Media Converter.  The 350 Series Fiber Interface is designed to be used for long haul applications where extended distance between network devices is required in system designs. They are equipped with cages for standard SFP fiber transceivers for either SM or MM modules to meet the infrastructure requirements. The modules cover a range of 500m to 100km depending on the fiber type and wavelength. 

The RN.351.FI and RN.352.FO consist of the standard RockNet CAT5 Network Interface in- and output. The rear of the products are designed with locking duplex fiber connectors and a locking IEC power connector.  Both converters are constructed

of modular rugged steel enclosures.

RockNet provides a cost-effective, universal solution to a full spectrum of audio distribution applications from stadium to shed, theatrical, and corporate productions. Designed to perform like a traditional analog active split system, RockNet can link up

to 99 devices into a single network comprising 160 audio channels. These 160

channels can be ‘dropped’ to a maximum of 768 outputs in the bidirectional network without limitation. Channel inputs can be microphone, analog or digital audio. RockNet supports CAT5 infrastructures as a standard. In addition to the pure audio transport RockNet offers a 10/100BT interface at each device. A highlight of RockNet is a streamline redundancy concept on device and network level. The network is self-

healing for single connection failures and offers significant advantages in performance, consistency, and flexibility.
